- This driver is required; it must be installed for the computer to function correctly. This driver is included in the Intel Quick Start Kit for Linux.
- This driver is required for Intel® Desktop Boards based on the Intel® 915 chipset only if the board contains the Marvell GbE LAN component. The presence of the component is indicated by the board name. For example: in the name "D915GEVLK", the L indicates that the board has onboard LAN; the K indicates that the LAN is based on the Marvell GbE component. This driver is included in the Intel Quick Start Kit for Linux.
- The Intel® Desktop Board D101GGC is only supported on Mandriva Linux 2006 PowerPack and Mandriva Linux 2006 PowerPack+.
- This driver is not required or supported for distribution versions supporting Intel® 64. This driver is only required and supported for distribution versions supporting the IA-32 technology.
- This driver is required for Intel 915 chipset-based Intel Desktop Boards only if it contains the Intel® e100 LAN component. The presence of the component is indicated by the board name. For example: in the name "915GEVL", the L indicates that the board has an onboard Intel LAN component.
- This driver is optional and is an upgrade to the driver in the distribution. The driver in the distribution provides 2D support only. The upgrade driver provides 3D graphics support and is installed automatically when using the kit's installer.
- This driver is optional and is an upgrade to the driver in the distribution. The driver in the distribution provides support for 5.1-channel Intel® High Definition (HD) audio. The upgrade driver provides bug fixes and updates, and is automatically installed when using the kit's installer.
- This driver is required for Intel 915 chipset-based Intel Desktop Boards only if it contains a processor supporting Intel 64 and when installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 supporting Intel 64.
- For Intel Desktop Boards with e1000 LAN, the Intel® e1000 LAN driver is required and is included in the Intel Quick Start Kit for Linux. For Intel Desktop Boards with e100 LAN, an Intel e100 LAN driver is included in the distribution; a newer Intel e100 LAN driver containing bug fixes and updates is included in the Intel Quick Start Kit for Linux.
