In August 2009, Intel® Vietnam’s Country Manager Mr. Than Trong Phuc and Education Manager Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hai were awarded with certificates of appreciation from the Chairman of Lam Dong province, for their contributions to education over the past four years.

Mr. Than and Mr. Nguyen were recognized for playing a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Intel Teach program within Lam Dong.

Lam Dong’s Department of Education and Training (DOET) has plans for all teachers in the region to attend ‘Intel Teach: Getting Started’ by the end of 2009, with the aim of preparing teachers to take new courses.

To do so, the DOET has begun deploying the program at teacher and education colleges. Recently, the program has been deployed at the Da Lat College of Education, making it a requisite for pre-service students to achieve Intel Teach certification before applying for positions with the Lam Dong DOET. This will also create future learning and growth opportunities for the college’s intake of 500 students each year.
