To motivate effective & judicious use of technology in
Teaching Learning Practices
in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, a Joint Contest for “
Best Integration of Technology in Education”
was conducted recently with support from Intel. The contest saw an enthusiastic response for all the 3 categories –
Schools
,
Teachers
and
Students
. More than 1000 entries were received from KVS and around 500 entries were received from NVS.
The contest followed three levels of evaluation pattern. The first round involved the screening of all the entries and short listing them. The second round involved telephonic interviews with the short listed entries and the third round constituted the evaluation of the short listed entries of the second round by an external examiner, the officials of the respective Institutions and the Intel Team.
The contest provided opportunities for the schools to showcase their efforts in implementing technology and innovative teaching and learning methodologies into their school system. Through the contest the teachers and students showcased their creativity, potential and innovative ways of connecting learning to real life and thereby moving beyond the four walls of the classroom.
The felicitation of the winners will be held shortly.
