“The initiative of Intel in association with APSCHE is a sterling example of Corporate Social responsibility. The Intel APSCHE initiative is a protean step in harnessing the benefits as well as methodologies of Information Communication technology to bring about systematic transformation and improvement.” - Shri N D Tiwari, His Excellency the Governor of Andhra Pradesh .

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) determines the standards of education in institutions of Higher Education and has been collaborating with Intel Corporation India on teacher educator programs since 2002 to integrate technology into education, in the 8 Universities and around 607 Colleges of Education under it.

In order to encourage the impact of ICT in Teacher education a contest was organized jointly by Intel and APSCHE- the 'APSCHE-Intel Best Integration of Technology in Education'. The aim being to choose the 3 Best Colleges of Education, 3 Best Teacher Educators and the 3 Best Student Teachers who have successfully brought about a change in the teaching – learning process from all 8 Universities. More than 700 registrations and 350 detailed entries were received for the contest and were evaluated by Intel with support from APSCHE.

At the function held to felicitate the winners, Shri Narayan Datt Tiwari, His Excellency, the governor of Andhra Pradesh was the Guest of Honor and inaugurated the award ceremony by lighting the lamp. Ms. Radha Chary, Intel Teach Program mentor on behalf of APSCHE and Intel, welcomed all dignitaries and participants.

Prof. K C Reddy, Chairperson Prof. K C Reddy, Chairperson, APSCHE who gave the inaugral address, spoke on the importance of technology in teacher education programs and appreciated the efforts by Intel in its initiatives to promote technology. He felt the APSCHE Intel collaboration was the best example of Public Private Paternership in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Suryanarayan. B, Director, SMG, Intel, South Asia thanked the Govrnment of Andhra Pradesh and APSCHE for their support in taking the Intel education program forward. He also emphasized the importance of 21st century skills and the role of technology in education.

The recipients were honored to receive the awards from the Chief Guest and under “Best Colleges of Education” category, Dr. C L Naidu College of Education, Fatima College of Education and Vidyavan College of Education were the proud winners.

Shri Shaik Achukatla Khajavali, from St. Paul's College of Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Ms. A.Suhasini, SPMH College of Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University and Dr. Telugu Chinnappa, from Fatima college of Education, Kakatiya University received the awards under the “Best Teacher Educators” category.

Sreevalli from Sri Padmavathi Mahila Mahila Vishwavidyalayam,Sri Padmavathi Mahila University and P.Jhansi Lakshmi Bai from Dr. C. L. Naidu College of Education, Andhra University received awards under “Best Student Teacher” Category.

Shri N D TiwariShri N D Tiwari, His Excellency Governor of Andhra Pradesh, in his address to the audience spoke about the benefits of IT which should be integrated into education to reach everyone. He appreciated the efforts of corporates like Intel and felt that the ‘Intel APSCHE’ partnership had added value to the community through improved learning process and was a sterling example of Corporate Social responsibility. He encouraged the audience to collectively endeavor for Andhra Pradesh to be a model for the rest of the country.

Dr M D Christopher, Secretary, APSCHE in his vote of thanks congratulated the award winners on their success. He thanked His Excellency Shri. N. D. Tiwari and all the dignitaries who were present at the ceremony.
