"A right platform to bring out innovations, an amazing event and unforgettable experience! Thank you Intel" - Raj Vignesh, Sona College of Engineering, Salem
As a formidable repository of technical talent, India has steadily been motivating young entrepreneurs and nurturing design talent thereby fostering a knowledge based economy. The Intel India Embedded Challenge Awards is one such collaboration that promotes talent and fosters innovation amongst engineering graduates and technical professionals all across India in the space of embedded technology. This year’s contest, among other innovative ideas, included a smart Braille reader, automated public transport monitoring and passenger information system and a green vehicle that absorbs carbon dioxide from emissions and liberates oxygen in return.

The Challenge 2010, organised by Intel® Higher Education Program in association with Embedded Communications Group is designed to create a platform for engineering, MBA students and technical professionals. It aims to create opportunities at universities and engineering institutes to explore the endless possibilities of embedded applications based on Embedded Intel® Architecture. The contest received more than 2170 innovative ideas in a wide range of application areas including Gaming, Medical Devices, Consumer Electronics, Green Computing, Social Networking, Infotainment, and Robotics.
