The forum began with introduction to Intel’s contribution in enriching teacher education. The organizers acknowledged Intel’s efforts and were confident that Intel will continue its good work in teacher education and professional development. The forum was a platform to provide clarity and encourage teaching faculty and teacher trainees to adopt e-learning modules. Participants sought clarification on a few critical areas that influence planning for e-learning modules such as students’ response to technology, challenges in adopting e-learning and critical areas in planning an e-learning module among other things.

Intel used this platform to share the importance of Project Based Approaches and Assessment with the teachers. The forum was also used to provide insights into the self-paced learning module of Intel Elements as an e-learning tool and its benefits to students and teachers. This was a real good opportunity for Intel to demonstrate the merits of Intel Elements course; clarify the doubts of the audience; and generate buzz about the course. Teacher trainees were highly impressed by the session on pedagogy and assessment, especially information related to various assessment tools and their contribution in enhancing and enriching the teaching and learning experience.
