Intel Research Grants
Research is the key to developing next-generation technologies. Every 2 years, Intel Malaysia Higher Education and the business group works with selected local universities to enable the advancement of technology through research grants. The grant is awarded to a group of faculty members and post graduate students to work in research areas which include architecture, communications, high-volume manufacturing, test technology development, packaging/materials development, failure analysis and semiconductor technology.
 
A technical advisor from business group will act as sponsor to direct and facilitate the progress of the research. The aim is for the sponsoring department to utilize the result of the research in solving industry issue or add new competency to sponsoring department. Today, more than 53 Intel sponsored research engagements are underway at selected universities in Malaysia. Research areas include
