Overview

Intel works with the Ministry of Education’s schools and teacher training institutions and university teacher training faculties to integrate or deploy the Intel® Teach curriculum to teachers. Through this collaboration, Intel has helped train more than 75,000 teachers with the curriculum content that emphasizes pillars such as ICT integration in classroom, 21st century skills and critical and higher order thinking.

The 32-hour Intel® Teach Essential course, as well as other advanced courses, provides practical instruction for in-service teachers to apply technology usage in teaching and learning. Intel Teach uses a train-the-trainer model, where teachers learn from other teachers. The curriculum, which consists of 8 modules, enables teachers to develop a collection of themed lesson plans that engage students in the use of technology to conduct research, compile information, and communicate results. The goal is for the students to develop projects that demonstrate attainment of challenging state and national standards.
