The key objectives of this program are to:
Increase the number of Master’s and Ph.D. graduates by offering scholarship grants. Intel scholarship grants are available at the University of the Philippines (Diliman) and the De La Salle University (Manila) in the following courses:
Master of Science in Electrical EngineeringMaster of Science and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering
Master of Science and Ph.D. in Physics
Increase student opportunities to earn their graduate degree.
Increase student awareness on the latest semiconductor technologies and challenges through lectures and plant tours.
Intel® Higher Education Program in the Philippines was a key contributor to the University of the Philippines’ Distributed Graduate Instruction Program or DIGRI . DIGRI provides an alternative way of learning through asynchronous mode of delivering lectures to graduate students and is supported by a learning management system that affords information sharing between faculty and students. This program is offered to graduate students in the fields of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Materials Science Engineering. This alternative mode also addresses the working student’s need to obtain advanced engineering studies without the constraint of travel time.
