Continuous Dialogue – An Agent for Change!
Intel Education Initiative organized ICT in Education Policy Forum in Islamabad on 13th June, 2011 for public and private stakeholders, policy makers and leading educationists working in in-service and pre-service education.
As the 21st century has opened gateway to new challenges and opportunities, the forum provided a platform for dialogue to address the need for collaborative effort to promote core 21st century skills, so that Pakistani students can also thrive in knowledge based economy and meet the challenges posed by ever evolving and competitive 21st century workplaces.

said Mr. Qaiser Rasheed, Deputy Secretary, School Education Department, Punjab.
Intel Education shared the new program offerings, along with an update of existing programmatic initiatives in the country. Detailed discussions and information sharing on key education program areas where Intel can, or is already, playing a role was held. Strong relationships were established, cross ministries and public-private collaboration was enhanced, where stakeholders committed to sharing of resources and collaborating on potential projects.
Key challenges where public and private sector stakeholders could join hands to scale the program and take important policy decisions to promote ICT in education in both in-service and pre-service environment were discussed. Ministry of Education representatives from all provinces committed full support to the implementation of the program and future prospects for Intel ® Teach Elements series courses in their respective provinces.
