The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Allama Iqbal Open University, and Intel Pakistan Corporation, to collaborate for Intel Teach Program, intending to promote technology aided learning in the education environment through implementation of various programs focusing on teacher training, curriculum development and adoption through this joint initiative.

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is the first Open University in Pakistan. AIOU is a unique institution in Pakistan because of its philosophy, system, approach, functions and overall structure. The University with its main campus at Islamabad and network of 36 regional centers spread all over the country is providing education to its students all across Pakistan and in the Middle East. Intel Education will conduct trainings for Master Teachers identified by AIOU and support these Master Trainers in their trainings of Participant Teachers in all the 36 regions.

So far, out of 36 regional centers concurrent trainings for Master Trainers of AIOU have been conducted at Multan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Quetta, Gilgit, Swat, Muzaffarabad, Skardu and Karachi by Intel Education Senior Trainers and these trainings are being followed by Participant Teacher trainings these days.
