[2005-10-17 Monday] Intel 2005 Fall campus recruiting will start from this week. The first event will be in Tsinghua university on 10/27. The promotion events will be in the campus of top universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’An, Hangzhou, Hefei, Nanjing, Wuhan, etc. A new feature of 2005 campus recruiting is the online register through ChinaHR, which can shorten the time of the recruiting process. According to the remark of the management, ICRC will focus on high-end research talents.
[2005-08-03 Wednesday] Intel Wireless Forum will be held on 8/25-26 in Beijing. The forum is sponsored by Intel Higher Education Program, and will invite many famous professors in the field of wireless research, and senior researchers in Intel. This is a good opportunity for research communication in wireless research.
[2005-07-21 Thursday] Prof. Wang Xiaodong of Columbia University visited ICRC, and has a series of seminars with the ICRC researchers. The topics covered channel estimation for MIMO-OFDM, LDPC codes, TDD systems, space-time codes, cross-layer design, etc.
[2005-06-06 Monday] Prof. Geoffrey Li of Georgia Institute of Technology visited ICRC. Prof. Li is very active in areas of statistical signal processing and wireless communications. Prof. Li introduced his work in MIMO OFDM, and the latest work on Multi-Carrier and Multi-User applications.
[2005-05-25 Wednesday] During the visiting to ICRC, Prof. Yale Patt of University of Texas at Austin visited Tsinghua –Intel Joint Research Institute, and gave a talk of “The Microprocessor in the Year 2015; Issues, Challenges, Potential Avenues to Solutions”. Prof. Yale Patt has, for more than 35 years, combined an active research program with extensive consulting in industry and a strong commitment to teaching. The research he has conducted with his students has had major impact on the microprocessor industry.
