The Intel® Health Guide Technical Features
Technical features
Intel is passionate about how innovative technology can improve healthcare worldwide. The Intel® Health Guide¹ is a result of that passion—and industry analysts Frost & Sullivan named the Intel Health Guide the “2009 North American Home Health Devices Product of the Year.”
Fits within your environment
The Intel Health Guide is a flexible solution that meets high standards for interoperability, management, and ease of use—one that easily integrates with your existing systems. System and software architecture for the Intel® Health Care Management Suite and Intel Health Guide PHS6000 are built with industry-standard building blocks.
Interoperability and connectivity
The Intel Health Guide PHS6000 may be connected to a variety of both wired and wireless vital sign monitoring devices to capture key health measurements. These peripheral devices have been tested and validated to ensure interoperability with the Intel Health Guide PHS6000. For an enhanced user experience with multimedia educational content and two-way video calls, a broadband connection is required.
Manageability and extensibility
The Intel Health Care Management Suite provides site administrators with a variety of tools to effectively manage the overall telehealth program for your healthcare organisation. Through our Intel® Health Care Management Suite Application and Data Services, the Intel Health Guide solution is easy to deploy and manage for internal IT teams. It is also simple to customise and extend to new patients and locations, and Intel® Health Professional Services can help you maximise Intel Health Guide value and performance, and the overall success of your telehealth program moving forward.
Additional resources
¹ The Intel® Health Guide requires an internet connection to enable communications with the patient’s care team and back-end data hosting. The Intel Health Guide is intended for use by patients under the guidance of a healthcare professional and is not intended for emergency medical communications or real-time patient monitoring.
Available in UK English; additional localised European language versions of the Intel Health Guide will be announced throughout 2009.
