The best resource for the latest graphics driver is your computer manufacturer. Intel does provides generic versions of the Intel graphics drivers through the Intel Download Center; however, your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the graphics driver software or software packaging to support your computer. Intel recommends you download the latest driver from your computer manufacturer to avoid potential problems.
Get latest generic graphics driver from the online driver utility
The easiest way to get the latest generic driver is to use the Intel® Driver Update Utility. This utility will check whether a newer graphics driver is available for your computer, and if available, provides a download link to install the newer driver.
NOTE: If the Intel Driver Update Utility displays a message that it has detected a customized computer manufacturer graphics driver, click here for additional information.
Download latest version or previously released version from Intel Download Center
Alternatively, you may choose to manually download the latest version or a previously released version of the generic graphics driver from the Intel Download Center by completing the following steps:
1. Identify the Intel graphics controller. You need this information to locate the correct download for your computer. See Identifying your graphics controller.
2. Access the Intel Download Center Web site.
3. On the left side of the Intel Download Center Web site, use the product menu to select Graphics, then Desktop graphics controllers or Laptop graphics controllers.

4. Continue through the product menu selecting the graphics controller or chipset that closely matches the name of your computer's Intel graphics controller or chipset.
Examples:
• If you have the 'Intel® G965 Express Chipset', select 'Intel® 82G965 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)'.
• If you have the 'Mobile Intel® 965GM Express Chipset', select 'Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family'.
• If you have the 'Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family', select 'Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family'.
5. Select your operating system.
6. Click Go!
7. Look through the list of downloads for the 'Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver' and click Download. There will be two downloads listed for the same driver version: an exe version and a zip version. The exe version is easier to install.
NOTE: To view a list of older drivers that are available, click the Previously Released link at bottom of the page.
8. Review the Intel® Software License Agreement and click ACCEPT at the bottom of the agreement.
9. Click Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, and then click Run to begin the installation or Save to copy the file to your computer. If you saved the file, double-click on the .exe file to start the driver installation.
